According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the rockets were fired at the Upper Galilee area and the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights. The country’s aerial defense systems intercepted some of the rockets. There were no immediate reports of casualties. The IDF confirmed in a statement that in response, its fighter jets struck three launchers used to fire rockets earlier in the morning. The salvos came in response to Israeli airstrikes in the Beqaa Valley of Lebanon, approximately 45 km east of Beirut. The IDF said in a statement that the airstrikes targeted two sites belonging to Hezbollah’s aerial forces in retaliation for recent Hezbollah aircraft attacks launched towards the Golan Heights. The Beqaa Valley, some 100 km from the Israel border, is considered a Hezbollah stronghold.-(Xinhua) Write your comments RELATED NEWS Huawei Unveils 83 Global Showcases and 10 Industry Solutions at… Trump hints Zelenskyy “won’t be around very long” Trump fires USAID inspector general Trump says will impose 25% tariffs on US steel, aluminum… Mexico deploys the first of 10,000 National Guard troops to… Israel defence minister orders army to plan for ‘voluntary’ departures… Top Headlines Relevance of Prithivi Narayan Shah in Contemporary Nepal1 Scrutinizing Relevance of Prithivi Narayan Shah´s Thoughts and Strategy2 Photo exhibition at Nepal Army Headquarters3 Ncell is the FIRST Nepali Telecom Company to receive ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications for information security and data privacy4 Gold price ups Rs 2,000 per tola5 NA team sets out on Gorakha-Kathmandu march to promote ‘unification route’6 PM Oli, Sri Lankan’s former President meet7 PM Oli extends New Year greetings8 TRENDING What Makes Prithivi Narayan Shah a Philosopher and a Truly Democratic King?
