गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Chief Election Officer’s office set up for by-election in Ilam-2 Politics Chief Election Officer’s office set up for by-election in Ilam-2 KathmanduPati April 04, 2024 File Photo ILAM – An office of the Chief Election Officer has been set up in view of the House of Representatives (HoR) by-election scheduled to take place on April 27. The office housed at the Ilam Bazar-based Bar Association Building was inaugurated by Election Commissioner Dr Janaki Tuladhar today. On the occasion, Tuladhar sought support and cooperation from all quarters to ensure that the election would be held in a free, fair and credible atmosphere. Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav said there are no security challenges to hold the election. The day for registering nominations has been set for April 6. Twenty political parties have been registered in the Election Commission given the HoR by-election going to be held due to the demise of the then lawmaker from the constituency, Subash Chandra Nembang, on September 12, 2023.
