Ranjita Shrestha removed from NUP parliamentary party leader

KATHMANDU – In a recent development within the Nagarik Unmukti Party, Ranjita Shrestha has been ousted from her position as Parliamentary Party leader in the House of Representatives (HoR). The decision was made during a parliamentary party meeting held on Sunday, where significant changes to leadership were announced amid internal discord.

The meeting, chaired by party founder Resham Lal Chaudhary, saw the election of Ganga Ram Chaudhary as the new Parliamentary Party leader and Lal Bir Chaudhary as the Chief Whip. These appointments mark a pivotal shift in the party’s leadership structure, reflecting ongoing tensions over operational matters between Ranjita Shrestha and Resham Lal Chaudhary.
