During the meeting at the Singha Durbar, the NA Chair applauded the ambassador for her role in further consolidating the Nepal-Australia ties. Stating that Nepal’s peace process is expected to conclude soon, the Chairperson underlined the need for assistance from all quarters towards that end. He hoped that Nepal’s peace process would set an example in the world. In response, the ambassador said she was very happy to know about an agreement among political parties to conclude the matters concerning transitional justice. She said she is hopeful that Nepal will conclude the peace process soon. The ambassador is returning home upon completing her three-and-a-half-year term in Nepal. She said on the occasion that she will cherish her experiences, the hospitality she got in Nepal, and remain as Nepal’s ‘goodwill ambassador’ ahead.
