He expressed this opinion at a ceremony held today at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas to present the award of the National Poetry Festival, 2081 BS, organized by the Nepal Academy on the occasion of its 67th anniversary. The Head of the State argued for preserving the language, literature, culture and knowledge emerged in our soil. “These assets are essential for human beings; therefore, they should be preserved,” Paudel said. He said through the means of literature and arts, human feelings, sentiments and identities could be expressed well. President Paudel further noted that the Nepal Academy was playing vital role to preserve and promote these assets. He further expects that such national poetry festival will be organized in all mother tongues spoken in the country. The winners of national poetry competition were awarded.
