In a tweet today, President Trump wrote that the duo will begin their quarantine and recovery process immediately. “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER,” he wrote in his tweet. Sean Conley DO, the president’s personal physician, released a separate statement stating that the President and the First Lady are both ‘well at this time’ and that they plan to remain at home in the White House whilst recovering. Trump’s top aide Hope Hicks, who had travelled with him from Washington D.C to Ohio to participate in the first presidential TV debate for 2020, had tested positive for the virus earlier. President Trump and the First Lady have gone into quarantine following Hicks’ positive test result.
