The Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) has signed an agreement with the Electronics Concern and Research Centre (ECRC) Pvt Ltd with an objective of selling bus tickets online. TBAN Chair Ishwor Sharma and ECRC Chair Sanjit Poudel signed the agreement today. Through the agreement, tickets of all tourist buses under the TBAN can be booked online. TBAN Chair Sharma said that they have initiated online ticket booking to reach foreign and domestic tourists to their destinations by following health safety precautions in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. He shared, “All tourist buses under TBAN have been providing their services as per the health protocols implemented by World Health Organisation and Health Ministry.” Around 100 buses under TBAN have now been providing their services in Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini and Janakpur from Kathmandu. Shishir Khanal, a tourist bus entrepreneur, said that they have been facing parking problems due to the lack of a separate bus park for tourist buses.
