Prime Minister and the Chairman of the commission, Balendra Shah, appointed Prof. Khatri as the vice chair of the commission. Minister for Education and Sports and Co-chair of the commission, Sasmit Pokhrel, presented the appointment letter to the newly appointed vice chair Prof Khatri at the ministry today. Earlier, since the vice-chairperson position was vacant in the commission, former vice-chairperson Shrikrishna Giri was given the responsibility of acting vice-chairperson until another arrangement was made. After the government issued an ordinance made for special arrangements regarding the dismissal of public officials, officials including the commission’s vice-chair Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha were dismissed. After that, the vice-chair position of the commission was vacant.
