गृहपृष्ठ ∕ International ∕ Nepali youth dies of COVID-19 in Portugal International Nepali youth dies of COVID-19 in Portugal KathmanduPati December 31, 2020 PORTUGAL – A 27-year-old Nepali youth succumbed to coronavirus infection in Portugal. The youth has been identified as Tilak Bahadur Rana. Rana contracted the flu-like infection and died in course of treatment at a hospital in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, according to the family of the deceased. Originally from Tanahu district, he had been working in Portugal for two years. He was also suffering from pneumonia besides the deadly infection. He was being treated in an isolation facility where he breathed his last, said the Rana family. Earlier, a Nepali woman had lost her life to COVID-19 in Portugal. The Non-Resident Nepalis Association Portugal’s President Tilak Gaire and Honorary Consul General to Portugal Makar Hamal said that the demise of Rana has deeply saddened the Nepalis in Portugal.
