Meteorologist at Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Raju Pradhanang, informed that the countrywide rainfall was forecasted in the wake of the monsoon low pressure belt being near Nepal. As the pressure belt is more in the western part of Nepal, it would cause more rainfall there than in the eastern part of the country, he added. With general weather change across the country, it is currently raining in some parts of State-1, Bagmati State, Gandaki State, Karnali State and Sudur Paschim State. Bagmati State, Gandaki State and State-5 will have heavy rainfall this afternoon. The Weather Forecasting Division recorded the minimum temperature at 20.5 degree Celsius while maximum at 31.4 degree Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley today. Jumla had lowest temperature with its minimum at 16.7 degree Celsius while Nepalgunj the hottest with its maximum at 36.4 degree Celsius.
