The 37-year-old man from Jitpur-Simara Sub-Metropolitan City in Bara district died of the coronavirus infection. His report of COVID-19 positive was received on April 11. He was admitted to the Narayani Hospital on Monday after high fever, pneumonia and respiratory related illness. Prior to this, he was receiving treatment in another hospital in Birgunj. It is said that had returned home from the Indian city of Hyderabad some days ago. Likewise, 40 people tested positive for COVID-19 out of 95 swab tests conducted in Narayani Hospital on April 12. Hospital’s Covid Coordinator Dr Saroj Roshan Das said that 37 infected ones are from Parsa and three from Bara district.
