A meeting of chief district officers of the three districts in the Kathmandu Valley held today decided to lift the restriction. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, told that the provision imposed on private and public vehicles has been removed. With this decision, public and private vehicles could be operated even after 8:00 pm from today. Meanwhile, the prohibitory order imposed till September 1 to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic is still in force. The prohibitory order imposed till August 24 from August 12 had mentioned that all private and public vehicles except essential service, transport vehicles and vehicles entering Kathmandu Valley have to reach their destinations before 8:00 pm.
