The new infections were revealed in 27,497 samples tested, including 21,007 through RT-PCR and 5,331 through antigen tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country has climbed to 573,28. Also today, 649 infected recovered while four persons died of COVID-19. The total number of recoveries as of today is 818,809 while the death toll climbs to 11,632. The recovery rate is 92.2 per cent while the case fatality rate is 1.4 per cent. Meanwhile, 234,214 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country today.
