गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ CA Member Basnet no more Nepal CA Member Basnet no more KathmanduPati May 12, 2023 KATHMANDU – Constituent Assembly (CA) Member and Nepali Congress leader Purushottam Basnet has passed away at his residence in Siphal in the Capital City this morning. He was 78. Born at Likhupike Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu district, Basnet was jailed for nine years for his struggles for democracy in the country. He was unmarried. Basnet was the invitee central committee member of the NC after the People’s Movement-II. He was also the treasurer of BP Koirala Memorial Trust. Executive Director of Trust Rajendra Parajuli said Basnet’s body would be kept at Pashupati area this afternoon for tributes and the final rites would be performed today itself.
