गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Mechi highway obstructed again Nepal Mechi highway obstructed again KathmanduPati June 28, 2023 KATHMANDU – vehicular movement has been completely obstructed again at Hewakhola of Panchthar along Mechi highway. The vehicular movement has been obstructed again after flood on Hewa stream occurred on Tuesday night damaged the diversion. The diversion was brought into operation from Tuesday itself to resume the vehicular movement, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Hari Khatiwada. Police have asked all not to drive at Phidim-Taplejung section of Mechi highway due to disruption of traffic. The Phidim-Taplejung road section along Mechi highway was obstructed after flood occurred on June 17 swept away bridge and road at Hewakhola. The vehicular movement was resumed from Tuesday after constructing diversion with four-day efforts. Police have banned the vehicular movement from diversion since Tuesday night, keeping the risk in mind.
