Prime Minister Oli’s chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal, press advisor Surya Thapa, foreign affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai the Rajan Bhattarai and personal aide Indra Bhandari have contracted coronavirus. In their separate Facebook posts today, they have announced that they tested positive for Covid-19. While they have come publicly to announce about the infection, more members at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar have also reportedly tested positive. All of these are considered to be close and remain around the Prime Minister. However, it is not immediately clear whether PM Oli has undergone a test for coronavirus after his close advisors contracted Covid-19.
