PM Oli has said in his social site post that he has been heartbroken by the news of the sad demise of Senior Journalist Risal and paid his heartfelt tribute to the late Senior Journalist. The PM has also posted a photo of his meeting with the Senior Journalist at his residence on the occasion of his 96th birthday last year. “Had a meeting with close friend Bhairav Risal on March 4, 2024. That meeting came to be the last one with him. I am heartbroken to learn of news of his demise yesterday. I express my heartfelt tribute to the late Senior Journalist Bhairav Risal and condolences to the bereaved family members,” Prime Minister Oli has written on his social site post. Former Chief Reporter at the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Senior Journalist Risal, had also made invaluable contributions in the field of human rights and environmental protection. He passed away last night at the age of 97 at the Frontline Hospital in Baneshwar. He had been suffering from heart and lung problems for a long time.
