गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Three confiscated with historical statues in Jumla Nepal Three confiscated with historical statues in Jumla KathmanduPati October 06, 2020 File Photo JUMLA : Police have confiscated two statues with archeological and historical importance that were stolen from the Chandannath Temple in Khalanga, Jumla. Police deployed from the Karnali Province Police Office in Surkhet and the District Police Office in Jumla caught three people in possession of the statues on Monday. The statues had been stolen from the temple four years ago. Arrested are Sushil Bishta, 32 and Sudip Rawal, 23, from Chandannath-10, as well as Jayalal Thapa, 28, from Tatopani Rural Municipality-8, said Spokesperson of Province Police Office SSP Rajeshnath Bastola. Bastola stated that the statues had been kept hidden in a plot of land in Bohoragaun. The statutes are made of silver like metal. Further investigation into the case is ongoing, Spokesperson Bastola said.
