They were being treated at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan. The deceased include a 64-year-old man from Duhabi, Sunsari, a 61-year-old woman from Dhankuta and another woman of unidentified age from Dharan-8. The 64-year-old man, who had been admitted to the hospital on September 30 after contracting the infection, was suffering from kidney problems. The 61-year-old woman was suffering from diabetes. Similarly, the other woman had been referred by Dhankuta Hospital and admitted to the hospital on October 2, according to Dr Ashish Shrestha, Co-Spokesperson at the BPKIHS. The Nepal Army will manage the dead bodies, he added.
