Issuing a condolence message on Wednesday, General-secretary Ajaya Babu Shiwakoti has called for carrying out in-depth investigation into all aspects associated with the demise of Baniya and revealing the truth to the public. “It has not been ascertained whether it was accidental, suicidal or murder. Baniya was found dead with severe injuries on his face. Police should undertake fair and in-depth investigation into the incident and bring the truth to the public”, general-secretary said. The NPU has said it was deeply saddened by the passing away of Baniya who was also the former central secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalist and central council member of the NPU. NPU has paid homage to journalist Baniya and expressed deep condolence to the grief-stricken family members at the difficult time.
