The Department of Drug Administration today decided to grant emergency use authorization of Covishield vaccine against Covid-19 in Nepal. Covishied is a Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by India’s Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd. The decision to grant the approval will pave the way for the entry of Indian coronavirus vaccine in Nepal. Covishield has also become the first Covid-19 vaccine to get the permission for the emergency use in Nepal.
