
KATHMANDU – Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has made arrangement of free ambulance services from five different places in Kathmandu direct in special/serious condition.
As prohibitory order has been imposed in the Kathmandu Valley beginning from Thursday to stem the spread of Covid-19, the service has been put in place to facilitate the patients of other chronic disease could also experience critical condition and may die in lack of timely medical intervention.
The places where the free ambulance services would be available is National City Hall, Trolley Bus premise, Minbhawan, Ward No 3 office area at Maharajgunj, ward no 15 premises Swyambhu and ward no 7 office premise at Mitrapark.
Two ambulances will be provided in each of these places. For the Covid-19 patients, the ambulance service could be available by making a call at 102. KMC Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya shared that the ambulance service was provided to the patients to ensure people right to healthcare during the ongoing prohibitory order.
Also, service seekers could directly call the KMC hotline 1180 to avail the ambulance services or they could directly call the ambulance drivers. For ward no 7 office are, one can call Ajay Lama at 9841-054768 or Uddav Adhikari at 9841-140622. Shankar Dahal at ward no 15 Swyambhu could be reached at 98082-79819 or Dambar Gubhaju at 9881-387217 for ward no 15 area.
Similarly, for ward no 3 Maharajgunj area, one can call Shyam Shrestha at 9813-246086 or Krishna Gurung at 98082-92550. Som Bahadur Tamang could be reached at 9840-916262 and Sabin Thapa at 9840-241449 for Trolley Bus Area at Minbhawan. Likewise, Govardan Sapkota could be worked at 98510-82425 and Tul Singh Tamang at 9818-439595 for National City Hall area.
