We want to be able to give talented students from Nepal a platform for international exposure and learning

BANGKOK – Seeds for the Future is our longest running global flagship CSR program.Since 2008, over 12,000 students from all over the world have participated in it.

I am very proud that this year we are sending 7 brilliant students from Nepal to our first-ever regional onsite program in Bangkok, Thailand. I wish them and their brilliant idea the best of luck for the Tech4Good competition.

At Huawei, we understand that digital talents are the foundation of digital development. We are actively promoting the growth of digital talents in all 170 countries and regions that we are present in.

I think we can all agree that Nepal has great potential for digital transformation. At the heart of this transformation will be talented young individuals. Through programs such as Seeds for the Future, we hope to contribute towards the cultivation of such digital talents. I really hope that the idea the students have developed for this year’s Tech4Good competition can turn into reality.

As a leading provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, Huawei has remained committed to introduce the latest technologies in Nepal. Our goal has always been to create value in society. We have done that through our products and solutions.

We are currently working with government agencies, mobile network operators, internet service providers and private enterprises – all with the mission of bringing digital access to every person, home and organization in Nepal. We hope to build the foundation for the Nepalese digital economy by partnering with all ICT stakeholders through broadband connectivity, data centers, cloud and computing and other latest technologies.

Through programs such as Seeds for the Future, we want to be able to give talented students from Nepal a platform for international exposure and learning. This year, the selected 7 students willbe able to see first-handthe role technology is playing in shaping the future. I hope that upon their return, they can share their learning with their peers.
