He said this at a press conference organized by Press Chautari here today. Bhattarai said that if the UML had to cooperate on the issue of MCC, the government should first create an environment conducive to the functioning of the parliament by addressing the issues they had demanded for the functioning of the house. Though the date of the local level election has been fixed for May 13, the government has not started any work for the preparation of the election, he added. UML Politburo member and former Minister of State for Urban Development Manju Kumari Chaudhary, Central Member Ambika Thapa and District Party Chairperson Parameshwar Ghimire were present on the occasion.
