The Home Minister also acquired information on the security situation of the Pashupati area after worshipping at the Temple. There are crowds of devotees at the temples and shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva throughout the country, including at the Pashupatinath Temple here, since the morning today on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. The devotees had turned up for the worship at Pashupatinath from 3 am. The four doors of the temple were opened for the devotees since that time. The Temple would be kept open for the devotees to offer worship and pay homage until the night today, the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), the body responsible for the management of the Pashupati area, a world heritage site, said.
