President Bidya Devi Bhandari had on April 8 nominated him to the National Assembly, the Upper House of the Federal Parliament, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. National Assembly Chair Timilsina administered the oath amid a ceremony organized at the meeting hall of the National Assembly, Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee. On the occasion, Chairman Timilsina also presented the logo of the federal parliament to Dahal. He also extended best wishes to Dahal to carry out his duties by keeping high the prestige of the National Assembly. Federal Parliament secretary-general Dr Bharat Raj Gautam and other officials were present in the swearing-in ceremony.
