Encouraging polarization in Maoist movement: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Dahal

KATHMANDU – CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has viewed that a new and encouraging polarization process has started in the country’s Maoist movement.

Addressing a programme organized at the Party Headquarters to mark the 73rd Establishment Day of Nepal Communist Party today, he said thousands of leaders and workers who had dissociated from the Maoist have started returning to the party fold.

The Maoist Center Chair called on the former Maoist and Communist leaders and cadres to join back the Maoist Center, the mainstream communist party.

“The trend of divided Maoist forces reuniting has increased; this is encouraging. There’s a wave of reintegration from east to the west of the country,” Chair Dahal said and called on the Maoist parties to be united for the protection of the achievements of the political change in the context of the achievements of the People’s War being at risk from regressive forces.

Stating that the risk of imperiling the federal democratic republic and overturning the achievements of the change has increased, the Maoist Center Chair urged those who dedicated their life for the cause of political change to come to a single place.

“There is no alternative to the pro-change forces to unite for establishing the issues of change and for fulfilling the dreams of the martyrs of the People’s War, the people’s movement, the Madhes movement and other movements for justice,” he said, adding that the Maoist should win the election to institutionalize the change.

Chair Dahal said, “The nation wins if we win, the people win. There will be the risk of the counter-revolutionaries winning if the Maoist loses the election. So, the people should come forward to ensure the victory of Maoists and the pro-change forces.”

The central leaders of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) had joined the Maoist Center on the occasion. Maoist Center Chair Dahal welcomed the new entrants to the party.
