The Speaker said this in a message of best wishes he gave on the occasion of the Islamic festival Bakar-Eid today. “While taking pride in our religious, cultural and social diversities and identities, we should not forget our collective responsibility for their conservation as well,” he said in the message. Speaker Sapkota stated that our religious, cultural and social diversity is reflected in the several unique traditions and festivals that we celebrate. These also help enliven the Nepal’s uniqueness. He expressed the confidence that the Bakar-Eid festival will spread the message of peace and brotherhood and inspire us all to maintain strong national unity and religious and cultural goodwill.
