The Federal Parliament Secretariat said that preparations for the President Bhandari’s address have been completed. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to table the copy of the President’s address in the separate meetings of the House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly. According to Assistant Spokesperson at the Federal Parliament Secretariat Dasharath Dhamala, the Federal Parliament would pass a vote of thanks to the President after the address. The Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal has the provision that the President may address either House or a joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. Likewise, Article 95 (2) states that President shall address the first session after an election to the HoR and a joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament after the commencement of the first session of each year. At present, the first session of the HoR is taking place after the election taken place on November 20, 2021.
