गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ PM Dahal pledges to conclude peace process soon Politics PM Dahal pledges to conclude peace process soon KathmanduPati March 20, 2023 KATHMANDU – Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the incumbent government is diligent to conclude the remaining task of the peace process without any further delay. In his address to a meeting of the House of Representatives before seeking a vote of confidence today, the Prime Minister said the Bill on the Commission on Enforced Disappeared and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (third amendment)-2079 BS had been already presented to the House. He pledged to deal with the Bill in accordance with the International Humanitarian Law and the International Human Rights Law; principles, norms and values transitional justice, submissions of survivors, opinions of the bodies concerned and the Supreme Court verdict. It may be noted that the government tabled the Bill in the House on Sunday. “This is not the issue concerning just a specific party or a group, it is a national issue, instead, and is to be dealt with accordingly,” the Prime Minister said, adding that the government would respond to the remaining task of the peace process and the issues of transitional justice with much priority so as to conclude them at the earliest.
