It followed the direction of Speaker Devraj Ghimire to the HoR secretariat today. In the meeting of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ apprised the House of his recent four-day official visit to India, informing it about the issue of public importance. In his attempt to be informed additionally about the Prime Minister’s India visit, Shishir Khanal of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) aired, “The Prime Minister had to return home from India visit by riding on a buffalo,” and the ruling party lawmakers objected to the statement. The Speaker instructed for the removal of the statement from the official record and it prompted RSP lawmakers to demand the Speaker direct for removing the same sentence delivered by the Prime Minister himself in course of responding to the party’s concern over the visit. Then the Speaker ordered for removing from the HoR archives such statements whoever expressed it before the House.
