KATHMANDU – Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav at the latter’s office, Lainchaur on Friday.
Issues related to bilateral relations, trade and economy, and regional and international cooperation on educational and cultural fronts featured during the meeting.
Vice President Yadav viewed Nepal and Pakistan have been enjoying harmonious relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations on March 20, 1960. He emphasized expansion of cooperation in trade and economic sectors between the two countries.
The Vice President also reminded the Ambassador that Pakistani businesspersons could invest in the fields of hydropower, tourism, infrastructure, science and technology in Nepal.
On the occasion, Ambassador Hashmi observed that Nepal-Pakistan ties are strong. These could be taken to a higher level, he said, pointing out the need resumption of stalled air service between the two countries.
