Kathmandu: The government has decided to transfer nine secretaries. The cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening transferred nine secretaries from various ministries.
The decision to transfer the secretaries comes on the same day three new ministers assumed their offices.
According to a cabinet source, Yadav Koirala, the secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, has been sent to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.
Secretary Surya Prasad Gautam has been transferred to the Ministry of Youth and Sports from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration whereas Youths and Sports Minister Ram Prasad Thapaliya will now be at the Public Procurement Monitoring Office.
Ramesh Prasad Singh has been sent from the Energy Commission to the Ministry of Urban Development. Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Rabindra Man Shrestha will replace Devendra Karki at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure. Karki has been transferred to the Energy Commission.
Secretary Kedar Neupane has been transferred to the Office of the Vice President to replace Khagaraj Baral who had been brought to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The government also decided to transfer Yek Narayan Aryal from the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
