PM Oli accuses rival Prachanda-led faction of trying to seize party property, bank balance 

Ruling NCP hasn't split, but some leaders left party, says PM Oli


KATHMANDU –  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused rival leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) of working on a ploy to form a new government.

Addressing a virtual conference organized by Prabasi Nepali Ekata Manch, Prime Minister Oli said that the ruling NCP has not split, but some leaders left the party to work on a ploy to form the new government. 

He said that the party that he leads will not go to the Election Commission to seek legitimacy. “We have not gone to the Election Commission to get the certificate of legitimacy. Why would we apply for the legitimacy,” he asked

Prime Minister Oli also accused Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of trying to seize the property of the party and money from the bank account. 

“We will know later whom the party offices belong to. Why to pit cadres against each other,” he asked. 

He also accused House Speaker Agni Sapkota of forgery by registering a no-confidence motion against him at 10:55 am that came at 3 pm.
