The Prachanda-led NCP hs replaced Mandal with Satrudhan Mahato as the parliamentary party leader of Province 2. The parliamentary party meeting of Prachanda-Nepal faction held on Tuesday in Janakpur endorsed a no-confidence motion against tbe parliamentary party leader Mandal. The meeting also picked Mahato as the new parliamentary leader of the party. Out of 32 provincial assembly members, Prachand-Nepal faction of the NCP commands a majority with 19 members. Majority of the provincial members decided to change the parliamentary party leader. Mandal, also the incharge of the NCP, was a leader close to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led faction.
