The parliamentary party meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) held on Tuesday to unanimously electe Prachanda as the parliamentary party leader. Similarly, the meeting also chose Dev Gurung as the Chief Whip of the party. However, the party is yet to choose deputy leader and Whip. Earlier before the Supreme Court scrapped the merger between CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center), KP Sharma Oli was the parliamentary party leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Gurung as the Chief Whip.
