KATHMANDU – Sagar Pandey has been elected President of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN), the umbrella organization of trekking entrepreneurs.
The 46th annual general assembly of TAAN held on Monday elected Pandey to the post. Newly elected Pandey is associated to mountain tourism enterprise for the past three decades.
Similarly, Karma Sherpa, Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Sanam Sherpa and Sonam Gyaljen Sherpa have been elected to the post of senior vice-president, first vice-person, second vice-person and general-secretary respectively, said outgoing general-secretary Binod Sapkota.
Likewise, Rinzi Jangbu Sherpa, Gautam Raj Wagle and Lakpa Tenba Sherpa are secretary, treasurer and joint-treasurer of TAAN respectively.
Pabitra Tamang is elected to the post of member under women category while Ambir Bahadur Gurung, Binod Kumar Tamang, Hom Bahadur Bishwokarma, Phurpu Chhiring Lhomi (Bhote), Bikas Gurung, Sagar Rai, Chhapte Lama and Raju Gurung are the members.
