According to Raj Kumar Shrestha, the Election Commission Spokesperson, the Election Commission has called an all-party meeting for Sunday. He said that representatives of all political parties have been invited for a meeting on Sunday to discuss the upcoming election of the House of Representatives. Earlier on December 20, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had dissolved the House and midterm polls to be held in two phases. The government has set April 30 and May 10 as midterm election dates. Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, a rival faction of the NCP and other political parties have launched street protests against the government move.
