गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ NC 14th General Convention elects Thapa, Sharma general secretaries Politics NC 14th General Convention elects Thapa, Sharma general secretaries KathmanduPati December 16, 2021 KATHMANDU – Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma have been elected the Nepali Congress general secretaries from the party’s 14th General Convention held in Kathmandu recently. The voting for the party (new) leadership was held on December 13 and the final count of the votes for the general secretaries was concluded at the party central office, Sanepa of Lalitpur a while ago. As per the election results, Thapa secured 3,023 votes out of 4,682 and Sharma 1,984 to get elected to the posts. Other candidates for the general secretaries were Prakash Sharan Mahat who got 1,556 votes, Pradeep Poudel who polled 1,393 votes, Dr Minendra Rijal who bagged 809 votes and Dr Rajaram Karki who secured 106 votes, according to the NC Central Election Committee. The vote count for the general secretaries had begun at 10.20 am today.
