The Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) had forged the electoral alliance. NC candidate Jagat Bahadur Bholan became Chairperson, collecting 2,102 votes and Maoist Centre candidate Shankar Man Ghalan became Vice Chairperson with 2,183 votes. Bholan’s nearest rival from CPN UML Chatarman Lole got 1,353 votes and Vice Chairperson candidate from the same party Pramila Waiba got 1,528 votes. Similarly, CPN Maoist Centre secured victory in four wards and UML in one ward in the rural municipality.
