Rain-triggerd flood damages Fatte Bridge in Melamchi

KATHMANDU – Incessant rainfall-triggered flood has affected the area in and around Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk.

The heavy rainfall occurred last night had caused damages to the temporary structures built around the Melamchi River. Torrential rainfall has caused damages to the Hume pipe-installed Fatte Bridge at Melamchi Municipality-11. Road traffic has been disrupted with the damage triggered to the bridge.

Now maintenance of the bridge has been intensified following the on-site monitoring by a team comprising Melamchi Mayor Aitaman Tamang and Ward-11 chair Chandra Bahadur Tamang. The bridge links ward 7 and 11 of the municipality.
