The meeting had started on Sunday. The central committee is holding discussions on the 10 pages long brief report presented by party Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. The party leaders have been putting forth their views on the report. The meeting will be held tomorrow as well. The party Chair’s report talks about the policy, plans and programmes that the party has to adopt in the coming days. Party’s Sudurpaschim Province chair Hariram Chaudhary, Karnali Province chairperson Bimala KC, Madhes Province in-charge Ganesh Shah among the party’s province in-charges had briefed the central committee about the party’s status in their respective provinces on the first day of the meeting. In the meeting on Sunday the party leaders stressed on immediately correcting the ‘organizational anarchy’ within the party. The Maoist Center which held its Eighth General Convention in December 2021 has not been able to appoint the party office-bearers except the Chairperson till date.
