The two leading ride sharing companies have decided to resume their services after authorities reopened public transportation and private vehicles on an odd-even basis. Under this rule, vehicles with odd number plates will be allowed to operate on the roads only on odd days while even number plates on even days. The resumption of ride services is expected to offer relief to thousands of Kathmanduits who have been reluctant to ride public buses and vehicles amidst a spike in Covid-19 cases. Ride sharing service providers have stated that they have taken necessary health and safety measures to make commuting safer for both riders and pillion riders. “And, we are back! We know you are in need of a safe ride. Therefore,we are back at your service. Book safe Pathao rides whenever you need to commute,” Pathao announced in a Facebook post.
