Party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ launched the commitment paper (election manifesto) amid a programme organized at the party central office at local Perisdanda today. Addressing the programme, the party Chair said the commitment paper has clearly outlined some policies and programmes for the institutionalization of socialism-oriented economy. He said the appropriate governance system for the federal democratic republic is the directly-elected presidential system and a fully proportional election system accessible to all people, and the commitment paper laid emphasis on these provisions. The Maoist Centre chairperson also reiterated that the election manifesto incorporated the topic of investigating the assets of all the people holding public office after 1990. Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha, a member of the commitment paper preparation committee, had elaborated on the contents of the commitment paper.
