गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Weather: Possibility of light snowfall in some places of hilly region Nepal Weather: Possibility of light snowfall in some places of hilly region KathmanduPati January 03, 2023 File Photo KATHMANDU – The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region today with chances of light snowfall at some places due to the influence of the Westerly low pressure system while remaining generally fair in the rest of the regions. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated that there are chances of light snowfall at one or two places of the mountainous region in Province no 1, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. The weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region of Province no 1 and Gandaki province while fog has blanketed the Tarai plain region of Madhes province and Lumbini province in the morning. It is generally fair in the rest of the parts of the country. As per the weather update shared by the Department, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today was 5.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum 17.5 degrees Celsius. Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of minus 6.1 degrees Celsius and Biratnagar the highest maximum temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius throughout the country in the last 24 hours.
