गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Karki stakes claim for CM in Koshi Province Politics Karki stakes claim for CM in Koshi Province KathmanduPati May 09, 2024 KATHMANDU – CPN (UML) Koshi Province Assembly Parliamentary Party leader, Hikmat Bahadur Karki, has staked a claim for the post of the Chief Minister of Koshi Province. Karki submitted the claim before Province Chief with signatures of 52 PA members today. Karki shared that the claim was presented for the formation of a new government as per the call in the context to form a government with a claim of the support of majority of PA members for the purpose of formation of Koshi province government in accordance with Article 168 (5) of the Constitution. Karki was elected PA member from Jhapa-5 (Ka). Earlier, Koshi Province Assembly had directed the government led by incumbent Chief Minister, Kedar Karki, to take vote of confidence, citing it is in monitory.
