The deceased has been identified as Bhuwan Singh Rana, 23, a resident of Rambha rural municipality-3. The accident happened when Rana lost control of the vehicle (Lu 1 Kha 9351) while heading to Pokhara from Butwal. As a result, the truck collided with another truck (Na 1 Ka 7121) heading towards the same direction from behind. According to the District Police Office, Palpa, Rana was taken to the Lumbini Medical College but succumbed to his injuries amidst the treatment. Sanjit Khawas Thapa, 21, an assistant to the driver of another vehicle, has been injured in the injured. Police have launched further investigations into the accident.
