गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ China, Nepal discuss closer tourism cooperation Breaking China, Nepal discuss closer tourism cooperation KathmanduPati July 23, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], July 23 – A five-member Chinese delegation led by Chen Guanghao, director general of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, met officials of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) on Thursday to discuss ways to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two sides. The delegation is on a three-day official visit to Nepal. During the meeting, Chen highlighted the potential to promote cultural, adventure and Buddhist tourism through closer collaboration. He said stronger cooperation could deepen mutual understanding, expand tourism exchanges and support the sustainable growth of the tourism industry in both countries. The meeting also included a proposal to organise familiarisation tours for Chinese celebrities, media personnel and bloggers to showcase Nepal’s tourism offerings and encourage more Chinese visitors.
