गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ 26 policemen missing after flash flood Breaking 26 policemen missing after flash flood KathmanduPati August 26, 2026 Twenty-six police personnel have gone missing following a flash flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, authorities said. Central Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General Abi Narayan Kafle said the missing personnel were from police units in Timure, Syafrubesi, Simle and Mailung areas of Rasuwa. Eight bodies have been recovered from Nuwakot and Dhading during ongoing search and rescue operations, he said. The massive flood has caused extensive damage to settlements, bridges and road infrastructure along the Bhotekoshi river corridor. Authorities are continuing search and rescue efforts while collecting details to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the flood.
