During the three-day visit, President Xi will hold in-depth exchanges of views with President Trump on major issues concerning bilateral relations as well as world peace and development, according to a ministry spokesperson. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun noted during a regular press briefing that reciprocal visits by the two heads of state within a six-month period carry historic and milestone significance. Guo stated that China is willing to work alongside the United States to strengthen dialogue and cooperation, properly manage differences, continuously enhance the well-being of both nations’ populations and promote global peace, stability and prosperity.
